Khanh Tran

As a SASE leader, Khanh is a relentless advocate for collegiate and young professionals to grow and succeed in the field of STEAM. Khanh was previously on the Board of Directors for the Lowcountry Autism Foundation and a past President for BAPA (Boeing Asian Professional Association). Today, Khanh puts all his focus on SASEProCHS to help build STEAM leaders of tomorrow with focus in diversity and inclusion.
Khanh has been in the aviation industry for over 20 years and currently works as an IS CMMC and Global Security Analyst for The Boeing Company. He has a BS in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and is part of the covenant Alpha Sigma Lambda Society of ERAU.
On his spare time, he is a relentless advocate for neurodiversity, cultural diversity and inclusion. “My mission is to create a neurodiverse and inclusive workspace for young professionals on the autism spectrum.”
Letiandrea Hinton
President -
SASE Pro CHS
Letiandrea Hinton is a parent liaison at Family Connection of South Carolina where she helps families with healthcare disparities connect with resources as well as social opportunities. As an active advocate for families with disabilities and as a parent of a of child with Autism, Letiandrea has been helping families fill in the gaps for the past nine years.
Letiandrea received a dual degree in Biology and Chemistry from Bethune-Cookman University and her post graduate degree in chemistry from Michigan State University. While working with families she saw a need to better educate clients with respiratory conditions in the Lowcountry and became certified as an asthma educator in 2017.
Letiandrea is passionate about programming and social opportunities that will encourage and promote social growth in the Lowcountry. She partners with numerous agencies in the area to increase awareness and educational experiences.
She enjoys spending time with her family at the beach and exploring all of the diversities that Charleston has to offer.
Camila Dorst
Treasurer
Camila is a full time student at the University of South Carolina, majoring in International Business and Management Consulting with a minor in Portuguese through the International Business Education Alliance (IBEA) cohort. In this program she is set to study abroad for 3 semesters in Germany, Singapore, and Brazil. Her goal is to expose herself to as much as she can in order to get a better understanding of the world and see it's diversity to make an impact globally. Camila is very involved with the IB/ business community and is an Intern for IB Engage, a USC group whose goal is to organize events for students to network and further themselves in their career while learning about opportunities in IB. She is also an active member of the Latin American Student Organization (LASO) at USC as well as Sustainable Carolina. She started her first internship in accounting before having graduated high school and enjoyed working for a company that provides software to non-profits.
Camila grew up in a Latin household where she was exposed to various diverse people and cultures. Her mother is from Buenos Aires, Argentina and Spanish was her first language growing up. She has been involved in medical mission trips to Nicaragua through the Palmetto Medical Initiative (PMI) as a translator at 13 years old. She is fluent in Spanish, proficient in Portuguese, and learning Polish and German. She traveled to Warsaw alone when she was 16 to work on her Polish. Camille is passionate about language, sustainability, travel and giving back to the community wherever that may be. She has been to 14 countries. She once did a pageant to put herself out of her comfort zone and won “most articulate” for her speeches. In her free time she writes poetry and is close to the publishing stages of a book of poems.
Jacky-Vy Chau
Boeing Advisor - SASE Pro CHS
Jacky is currently the Senior Manager for Electrical Design Functional Integration - Processes and Tools Organization. Prior to this, Jacky was a manager for Electrical Standards and 777X Electrical Design - Wire Design teams. Prior to management, Jacky was an In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) Cabin System Project Engineer in 747/767/777 Interiors Organization. He also spent few years in 767/777 System Organizations as an Electrical Wire Design Engineer.
Besides, Jacky served as the President for Boeing Asian Professional Association (BAPA) - North Chapter in 2015 and 2016. Jacky is also the company focal for Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE). Outside of work, Jacky is very active in supporting the APPI (Asian-American Pacific Islanders), LGBTQ+ and other non-profit or underserved communities. He is currently an Executive Board of Director for Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS), was a former Auxiliary Board Member for Seattle Children's Museum and Scholarship Interviewer and Facilitator for Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA). He also volunteers and mentors others in STEM field internal and external to the Boeing Company.
MJ is an accomplished graphic + web designer and the owner of Hyle Creative, a Charleston, SC based graphic design studio. She offers graphic design, website design, print production, video production, photography, and marketing + advertising strategy.
Originally from Vietnam, MJ moved to the U.S. in 2011. She earned a Bachelor in Business Administration as an International Business Major from the University of Economics HCMC (UEH), Vietnam in 2010 and a Commercial Graphics Degree, Computer Graphics and Multimedia Design certificates from Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC in 2014. Prior to starting her freelance business, she held a number of positions at firms such as SIFE, KPMG, American Airlines, Charleston Magazine, VIP Marketing & Advertising and Craft Creative. In 2017, she ran a creative agency named Hyle Creative which is located in Charleston downtown, SC.
In addition to serving on SASE Pro Charleston’s team, MJ is a Beautiful Gate Center’s board member - a non-profit organization for Autism and Special Needs children in Charleston; also a business mentor with the Charleston chapter of SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors. Plus, she is the Chief Inspiration Officer at BHUUMI – The Infinite Portal website and the Ride share BHUUMI Ride which are founded in Summerville, SC. MJ is a Visual Arts Advisory Committees at Trident Technical College where she earned the Commercial Graphics degree as well.
MJ resides in North Charleston with her husband, Bo, dog Hanzel, along with her cats, Layla and Lola. She loves fishing, playing pools table and listening to music in her spares time with her husband.
Brenda Ortiz
Vice President - SASE Pro CHS
Brenda is bilingual in English & Spanish. She currently serves as a Business Intelligence Analyst with the Analytics and Information Management Services (AIMs) organization at Boeing South Carolina. Brenda is responsible for supporting and designing Business Intelligence and advanced analytics information models, dashboards, metrics and reports utilizing standard technologies and methodologies that meet business needs across organizations throughout Boeing Enterprise.
Previously, Brenda served as a Data Analyst within the Information Technology Infrastructure organization, where she determined data requirements and analysis goals required for decision support needs and given business objectives. Additionally, Brenda defined performance, identified trends, and outliers, through visualizations and summarizations.
She has a Master of Science in Management Information Systems with a concentration on Business Intelligence and Analytics, from Nova Southeastern University. She has a certificate in Data Science from the University of Washington. She continues to develop her advanced analytics skill set through her pursuit of additional training and certifications.
Brenda is a member of The Society of Women Engineers, The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and the 2017 and 2019 President of South Carolina Boeing Familia (formerly Boeing Hispanic Employees Network). Additionally, she has an interest in building the STEM pipeline and does this locally through the Boeing DreamLearners Speakers Bureau program, which positively impacts South Carolina students.
Because of her community involvement, Brenda was the recipient of the 2016 Boeing South Carolina Palmetto Honors Awards, the 2016 and 2017 Boeing South Carolina Diversity & Inclusion Change Agent Award, and 2018 Women in Technology STEM Rising Star Award.
Paige Ingle
Team Building Chair - SASE Pro CHS
Paige Ingle is an IT Senior Manager at Boeing. She has a bachelors in Computer Science from the University of Texas, and has held certifications in SAFe Agile methodologies. She has worked in various industries as a software engineer, database administrator, portfolio manager, and people manager. Passion for technology and a deeply seated drive to improve business functions are consistently the focus of her career, and she hopes to continue honing and improving those skills in the future. Paige is an avid equestrian, video gamer, and comic book and movie enthusiast. Currently, she lives with her husband, horse, two cats, and dog in Seattle, Washington.
Nha Phung
Interim Secretary - SASE Pro CHS
Nha is an international student from Vietnam, studying abroad in the U.S. since 2015. She is currently a junior who is pursuing Engineering Technology: Manufacturing System at San Jose State University. Nha is passionate about combining engineering and designing, which is usually known as STEAM. Nha is also passionate about leadership, community-building, and team motivation. Creativity and optimism are the most two important aspects that help Nha keeps steadily stepping forward. Nha still cultivates herself day by day through club activities, volunteer activities, as well as communicate with experienced people.
In September 2019, Nha joined the SASE - San Jose State chapter as a member and intern. Nha had the opportunity to intern as secretary, treasurer, and event coordinator of the club. Nha actively participated in in-club events and collaborations. In April 2020, with the activeness and standing out in the chapter, Nha was elected as the chapter’s president for the school year 2020-2021. She initially joined SASE to support the team and enhance her leadership skills. Subsequently, she decided to stay and involve broader in SASE because of the wonderful experiences, connections, and community that SASE gave her.
Besides club activities, Nha also joined the Engineering Ambassador Program (EAP) – an engineering program under the MESA Program. Nha and her ambassador team hosted Q&A panels for high school and college students around the Bay Area. They also participated in exhibiting science project kits in several science and technology events. Recently, Nha has designed and created her own project kit. Moreover, she is now joining the STEM mentor team of EAP.
