Q&A: Leadership, Empowerment & Life Balance w/ Felicia Liang-Yeh

Felicia Liang-Yeh is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Washington and currently the Controller of The Pokémon Company International headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. In addition to ensuring compliant and timely financial reporting, she is introducing new technology (such as Robotic Process Automation) and tools to transform accounting at Pokémon. Felicia is passionate about connecting with people and cross-functional collaboration. Her favorite pass time at work is playing the Trading Card Game and Pokémon GO with fellow coworkers. #GottaCatchThemAll

Prior to joining Pokémon, Felicia held various leadership roles at The Boeing Company in Washington State, where she was instrumental in centralizing the Puget Sound accounting groups. She also served on the accounting talent management team, advocating for initiatives focused on the recruitment,
development and retention of talent.

Felicia began her accounting career at KPMG’s audit practice in Seattle, leading employee benefit plan audit engagements for many Fortune 500 companies around the area during the 8 years she was there.

Felicia holds an Executive MBA from the University of Washington, a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a CPA in the state of Washington. She lives with her husband and three children in Bellevue Washington.

 

Q&A with Linda Akutagawa, President & CEO of LEAP

Linda Akutagawa is President and CEO of LEAP (Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics). A passionate social entrepreneur for over 25 years and beneficiary of LEAP’s leadership programming, she is a believer in the value, and urgent need, for diverse, equitable, and inclusive leadership. Through LEAP, Linda has dedicated herself to continuing the cycle of leadership development and inspiring Asian and Pacific Islanders to step up to leadership roles across sectors, industries, and communities. She is the Chair of the Alliance for Board Diversity and an appointed member of the California Department of Insurance Diversity Task Force. She is also a member of the Asian/Asian American Institute Advisory Board at California State University at Los Angeles as well as a Board member of Japanese American Community Services and a Board member of the Asian Pacific Planning and Policy Council.

She’s a nationally recognized speaker and facilitator on leadership, diversity, nonprofits, Economics from California State University at Los Angeles. She has a Certificate in Nonprofit Board Consulting through Boardsource. She is married and a fur-mom to her cockapoo and aunty to eleven nephews and nieces.
